About Venster
- Door to door. Train, bus, tram, metro and ferry, plus the walk before, between and after, with a walking route on the map.
- Live. The timetable is combined with the live positions of trains, buses and trams, so you see real delays, realistic arrival times and how reliable a connection is.
- Private. No account, no ads, no tracking. Your settings and saved places stay on your device.
- Independent. A free, independent project from the Netherlands, not affiliated with NS, 9292 or any transport operator.
Common questions
- Why does Venster ask for my location?
- To plan from where you are, sort nearby stops and show you on the walking map. It is only used while the app is open, and you can always type an address instead.
- A place is missing or in the wrong spot.
- Choose “Add a place” in the address suggestions to fix it on your device. Tick “Share result with Venster” if you want us to improve it for everyone.
- The times differ from the station boards.
- Venster combines the timetable with live vehicle positions and estimates arrival times from them. Live data can lag or be missing, so check with your operator when it matters.
